We did eat breakfast at the Mountainview Grill and it was really good. We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub, and it was rainy so we didn't use any of the outdoor attractions near the resort. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was nice, but it didn't seem like anything at all had been updated or modernized in 20 years. We didn't want the bustle of a massive indoor Waterpark resort, but the property is in need of a refresh. We were at the wrong place and the Chateau had not changed AT ALL in 20 years and it was nearly empty. Had the resort we'd stayed at changed that much? No.
We initially were led by our GPS to the huge new Camelback Lodge resort. We were looking forward to a return to the Poconos, but most of our plans got rained out. And then have a drink at the Chateau's busy hotel bar. My wife and I had visited the Chateau in 20, but had not been to the Poconos in 20 years.
